AAA LibGuides 2

Welcome!

Howdy! This guide is an internal guide for LibGuides 2. It contains the policies, best practices, publishing checklists, training resources, and reusable content.

What is LibGuides 2?

LibGuides 2 is the latest software release for the SpringShare LibGuides product, and also how we at Texas A&M have conceived of the LibGuides system to be a learning centered service

LibGuides 2 Service Description
The goal of LibGuides is to supplement the libraries web-presence with a learner focused website, which connects the learner to resources and services that match their learning objective. The strategy to meet this goal includes content, access, and collaborative partners. Guides are expert-created webpages designed to connect learners to resources and services to meet the learner's objectives.

Types of Guides

  • Class Guides connects learners with resources and services to help complete a specific assignment. These are for a specific class at the university.
  • Research Guides help learners grasp the domain of discipline-based resources available.
  • Topic Guides give a learner insight to resources and services based on an idea or concept not directly tied to a field of study or degree program; or it might be related to a current event and temporary in nature.
