Beyond Citation Management

While many are content to rely on Zotero's basic features to manage research and create bibliographies, some have used Zotero to fuller advantage.

  • The Data Mining with Criminal Intent project relied on Zotero (and a "translator" plugin) for the tool to harvest, describe, and manage the text of trial records from the Old Bailey Online corpus of almost 200,000 trials held in London circa 1674-1913. Having gathered the texts in Zotero, they were able to visualize and mine the records using additional open source tools.
