Locating Technical Reports in Evans Library

Most technical reports the library owns are NOT listed in the Libraries Catalog.

Most technical reports in the library are on microfiche (Evans 3rd floor) and a few in print (Annex 5th floor) so be sure to check both areas. Some print series are housed in our remote storage facility and can be requested through the catalog, but it is easier to see if they are available online first.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

The reports are filed primarily under class number NAS 1.26 and NAS 1.15. The following list of major NASA report series codes and corresponding SuDoc call numbers may be helpful in searching for reports.

Print Index - Use this index to locate individual reports on fiche. Be sure to copy all the numbers, the NTIS microfiche are filed under one number, the E 1.28 microfiche use the other number.

E 1.28: U.S. Documents Microfiche - Evans 3rd floor - The library owns a collection of DOE microfiche E 1.28: then the report number. Example E 1.28:BDX-613-1873/REV

Other reports may be found in the NTIS microfiche collection. They are filed under their report number. Example DOE/R7/01000-T1

Atomic Energy Commission (AEC)

Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) reports (1946-1974) are found on microfiche (Evans 3rd floor) and filed under their report number. There are also some reports in print from the AEC and can be found under the call no. Y 3.AT 7:22/(Lab prefix-report number) in the Annex 5th floor – U.S. Documents area.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

EPA reports are either in print (5th floor Annex) or in microfiche (3rd floor Evans) and not all are listed in the Libraries Catalog
