Designed to document the history of African American music by providing full length, streaming music files. Covers a range of genres, it features a proportionally large amount of blues recordings as well as approximately 3,500 songs under the classification "sacred" music. Other genres include American folk, jazz, ragtime, spoken words and sounds, and stage and screen.
