- Provides full-text documents from more than 15,000 news, legal and business sources.
I. GUIDED SEARCH for ALL NEWS
- To use Guided Search to look for news. Select News> enter search terms> choose a date option or leave it to All Available Dates.

II. ONE NEWSPAPER SOURCE
- For example, you want to look for reports in New York Times only. Find Publication will auto fill the source names as you enter a name.

III. MULTIPLE NEWSPAPERS
- To look for reports from multiple publication sources. Advanced Search > News > Source> enter one source at a time. The picture below shows three newspapers were selected. You can do a natural language search or conduct a more precise searching like this one: atleast5(gun control) AND length>700. In this search you ask the search engine to look for news with more than 700 words in length and each news report must mention "gun control" at least 5 times.

IV. EDITORIALS / OPINIONS
- Use SECTION, BYLINE or HEADLINE to filter result to editorials. The search syntax is:
byline(editorial) and racial discrimination [Note: This will find the ones By The Editorial Board]
section(editorial) and racial discrimination [Note: This will find the ones in the Editorial desk section]
headline(editorial) and racial discrimination [Note: if the word editorial appears in the headline, this search will retrieve those news]
- To include Opinions to the search, simply do this: headline(editorial or opinion) and racial discrimination. Headline and Lead paragraph is another good one: hlead(editorial) and hlead(racial discrimination)
- You can enter a command line like the ones above or use the search box:

V. TRANSCRIPTS - I
TRANSCRIPTS - II
- It depends on what your are searching for. To look for NPR radio transcripts, for example, just select NPR from the Publication Source and do a search. All results will be some sort of transcripts. No LIMIT filter is needed.
