Cite with RefWorks and Create Reference with RCM in Word

I. RefWorks

  • RefWorks is a bibliography management tool. You can use this link to set up your RefWorks account with TAMU. https://refworks.proquest.com/signup/ Use you NetID as user name and then select your own password.

II. Use RCM to add in-text citations and reference list in Word

  • You can also add RCM or  RefWorks add-in  into MS Word.  STEPS: MS Word > Insert > Get Add-In > Search RCM> Add. RCM. After that RCM will appear on your MS Word as a new tab.

III Google Scholar & RefWorks

  • To use RefWorks with Google Scholar, go to Google Scholar >Setting> Bibliography Manager> change setting from BibTex to RefWorks >Save.​ With this new setting in place, every result will bear a link ready to be exported to your RefWorks account with just two clicks

Citing Legal Documents

Supreme Court Cases - MLA
Format: Case title, U.S. Reports citation, page #, docket number, name of the court, year of decision, Internet address, and date of accessing the site
