Academic Support Services

The Medical Sciences Library at Kingsville provides reference and research assistance to students, faculty, and staff of the Irma Rangel School of Pharmacy in South Texas, ensuring access to Medical Sciences Library resources, services, and facilities on the Texas A&M University Kingsville campus, including:

  • The MSL Pharmacy print collection.
  • 3 patron computers.
  • 3 patron-use Chromebooks.
  • 1 networked color printer / scanner.
  • 1 mobile charging station (up to 6 devices).
  • 1 AV networked neatboard.
  • 6 patron-use glassboards.
  • Seating for up to 9 patrons.
  • 1 private study lounge / conference room (seats 8).
  • 1 TAMHSC network WiFi access point.

Library Space

For patron study needs, the MSL@Kingsville includes four single-study computer stations, one standing computer station, and one reserve study room for private or group study / meetings. All library study spaces are first-come first-serve. To reserve a specific study space, please email MSL@Kingsville staff in advance for availability.

Patron Policies

The MSL@Kingsville promotes an environment of mutual respect and safety for all users. Patrons are welcomed and encouraged to respect the personal space, property, privacy, and opinions of others.

  • Food is allowed in the Library. However, all patrons are responsible for maintaining a clean library environment.
  • Open conversations are allowed in the library. However, please be mindful of how noise may affect your fellow patrons.
  • Library personnel reserve the authority to clear visitors to enter, or to ask visitors to leave the library at any time.
  • Library personnel are not responsible for items lost, damaged, or left unattended by the owner. Items found in the library will be sent to the Dean’s Suite lost and found repository if library personnel cannot determine or contact the owner.
