Sharing Your Work

For Bryan/College Station: Visit the Student Computing Center (SCC) for poster printing. There are charges associated with all printing on OAL printers. For more information on the Print Rates see Print Rates.

For printing resources near Bryan/College station, consult this list

For all other campuses: Speak with a faculty member as your College may have work with specific vendors or provide in-house printing services

Other reminders for printing:

  • Double-check your poster meets conference guidelines before you print it.

  • Create a printing timeline to ensure your poster is ready to bring with you to the conference.

  • Check out options for bringing your poster. Will you check it in as baggage?

  • Check conference guidelines for where and when to hang the poster and take it down.

Create a scholarly profile that archives your work:

  • University Libraries provides you with tools and services to help enhance the visibility of your research, enrich scholarly identity, and support discovery and collaboration.

Make your work open access by archiving the poster:

  • Join the OakTrust digital institutional repository and share your research poster: This program seeks to provide the tools and services that remove barriers (e.g., price and permissions) to scholars publishing their work as open access, as well providing TAMU scholars access to the world’s scholarly literature.

Add a QR code to the poster:

  • Link to supplemental information that could not fit on the poster, such as a video
  • Link to your contact information, social media, and other scholarly work so your audience can follow up
  • Free QR Code Generators
  • Please note that a URL, short link, or contact information should be provided for accessibility.

Take advantage of social media:

  • Collaborate with your institute's communication team and write a media release for their social media presence
  • You can translate your research papers into other forms of media, such as video abstracts, to share on social media and community blogs or podcasts
