Where Can I Find Data?

Restricted Data

These sources require researchers to submit a proposal or research need to access the data. Please understand this may take significant time and that you may not be granted access by the data holder.

Data Rescue

This section contains resource links to initiatives that are tracking or working to restore/rescue at-risk government data. If there are datasets, pages, or other information that you no longer have access to or are concerned about, please reach out to the Research Data Management team using the AskUs feature.

The Data Rescue Project is a coordinated effort among a group of data organizations, including IASSIST, RDAP, and members of the Data Curation Network. There are many individuals, organizations, and community-based efforts to capture and preserve data in early 2025.

Find Lost Data, created by Boston University's Center for Health Data Science, is a search tool to search for datasets from federal, state, and local agencies.
