Librarian Assistance

Librarians are available to help you find information, formulate searches, and use citation management tools

To request assistance:.

Get It For Me

  • Request a book, book chapter, or journal article that the University Libraries does not own
  • Request an electronic copy of a book chapter or journal article that we only have in print.
    • Copyright prohibits us from copying large portions of books--more than 10% or 50 pages, which ever is smaller.

There are two Get It For Me services on campus. The Medical Sciences Library has its own service Get It For Me (MSL) because we lend to other medical libraries through DocLine.

The two Texas A&M services are separate, have different request forms and different URLS. Be sure you pick Get It For Me (MSL) when you login to make a request.

Study Spaces

The Graduate & Professional Student study space (GPS) is available to DVM students and BIMS Graduate students.

Room reservations are not required. You must have a current TAMU ID card to swipe in for access.

Your swipe card gives you access to GPS during normal library hours, and  the MSL building and GPS outside of library hours, with the exception of home football game days.

If you have a problem swiping into the building or GPS, please email AskMSL@library.tamu.edu or use our Qualtrics GPS Access Issue form.

Common swipe issues include:

  • Missing data in the system
  • Damaged magnetic strip
  • Swiping too slow
  • Swiping too fast
