Medical Sciences Library - Staff Profiles

Amy Martin-Klumpp, MLIS, MA

I spent the last decade as a librarian and educator at college preparatory institutions, growing my practice in creating student-centered curriculum, programs, and resource materials that allow students and faculty to navigate an information saturated world. With a strong background in pedagogy and instruction and a skill for connecting library resources and services to diverse curricula, I am currently supporting the Colleges of Medicine and Nursing as the Research and Education Librarian for Round Rock.

What I Can Do For You

I offer a range of services designed to enhance your learning experience and research capabilities, both virtually and in-person. My services include:

  • Citations: Master the art of citing sources accurately and efficiently
  • Research Strategies: Learn techniques to navigate databases and other information resources tailored to your ability level and your research project
  • Integration into the Health Sciences Curriculum: Seamlessly collaborate to incorporate research and information or media literacy into HSC curriculum

These topics can be delivered in a variety of formats, such as:

  • Workshops: See current offerings from all Librarians here
  • Individual Consultations: Book here
  • Instructional Classes: Book here

Don't see what you need help with? Just ask!

I stay current with evidence-based practice, research, education, and information literacy/management. However, if I don't have an answer I am also part of a wonderful and experienced team in the Medical Sciences Library that can meet the diverse information needs of those in the medical field.
