Alambique 

  • “Alambique is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to scholarly research and criticism in the fields of science fiction and fantasy originally composed in Spanish or Portuguese. Alambique was conceived in 2011 at the 32nd International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts by scholars and authors in conjunction with the University of South Florida Tampa Library, and is published annually through the USF Scholar Commons project. The journal is co-edited by Juan Carlos Toledano Redondo  (Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies at Lewis & Clark College) and Miguel Ángel Fernández Delgado (El Colegio de México). Alambique is the first journal of its kind in the United States.”

 

Fafnir: Nordic Journal of Science Fiction and Fantasy Research 

  • “Founded in 2014, Fafnir is a World Fantasy Award-winning, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal published by The Finnish Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy Research. The journal provides an open-access international forum for scholarly exchanges on science fiction, fantasy, and issues current in the field. Fafnir welcomes contributions from a wide range of perspectives, and we publish two issues each year.”

 

Fantastika Journal 

  • “The goal of Fantastika Journal and its annual conference is to bring together academics and independent researchers who share an interest in this diverse range of fields with the aim of opening up new dialogues, productive controversies and collaborations. We invite articles examining all mediums and disciplines which concern the Fantastika genres.”

 

Mythlore 

  • “Mythlore is published as a free open access journal with no embargo period. We also publish full issues in electronic and paper formats for individual purchase or subscription. Mythlore does not charge any author fees for publication. Copyright in individual essays, reviews, artwork, and other material is held by the creator of that material, and they retain all rights to approve of any further use of their material outside of publication in Mythlore. Please contact the individual authors (or request contact information from the editors) for reprint, translation, and other rights requests.”
